The Future of Law Enforcement!

Sunday, November 18th, 2007

Pistol Cams are going to revolutionize crime fighting. Giving courts and the public a new perspective on law breakers.

Let’s do a quick mash-up.

Can you imagine the new types of TV shows? They’ll have 30 camera angles to choose from. All looking at the same thing! Cutting back and fourth. They’ll have to add an extra camera looking at the Police Officer so we can get a good reaction shot?

Lets toss in 3D image tracking software. Now that you have all these points of view trained on the same thing. You can use this tracking technologies to visually analyze the image data and extrapolate the scene in 3D. Imagine how useful that will be in a court of law?

Add BlueTooth and we could have something like “Twitter Vision” but say Pistol Vision. So every-time a gun is drawn around the world we could instantly see who is being fired upon.

I think this is a good thing and I hope it helps to keep everyone honest.

A Rememberance

Saturday, October 27th, 2007

I never thought anyone else would see this film after I finished it in college in one of my first real film classes.  But now with YouTube and everything else I thought what the heck I’ll put it out there.

I submitted it to On Super8 and they accepted it for their podcast!  Check it out if you haven’t seen it.  A vintage Sean and Tammy are in it.  It was shot in fall of 1990?  Tammy’s Grandfather played his Lowrey Organ for me for the music.  Believe it or not I shot the film.  The part where the hearts are animated. I had a foot release trigger clicking off the frames.

If you are into Super8 film and yes they do still make Super8 film.  On Super8 is a must bookmark.  It will make you want to break out your camera and start shooting film again.

Hear 2.0 subscribe now!

I want to point fellow podcasters and content creators to a great blog called Hear 2.0

Mark Ramsey blogs about the future of radio and how it’s going to go through a major transition with the advent of wi-fi radio in cars and competition from podcasters. He tries to give advice and idea to radio broadcasters on how to make that transition to being more Internet savvy and relevant to your listener in the web age.

His insight is interesting and applies to podcasting in general and there’s great advice and ideas about marketing.

The other important aspect of his blog which applies to podcasting is how some of his insights might provide ideas that will enable podcasters to unite with the radio stations as they try make new content to keep up with the vast tastes of their ever changing listener.

Especially the listener five years from now…
