But they do still have a monthly service charge. When I became a user it was $12.95 a month now it’s up to $16.95 a month but if you prepay for 3 years it’s about $9. I love my Tivo but to tell you the truth the only thing preventing me from buying another one even a cheap one is the monthly service charge. I’m sorry there’s no reason why Tivo needs to charge me for anymore Tivos I bring into my house. I would prefer the ad driven guide too lower the cost. That's the only thing that keeps me renting my DVR from the cable company over buying a TIVO. Also, does TIVO have a double tuner yet? That was the other thing keeping me from getting a TIVO.
