I totally agree! In fact 2 weeks ago Nissan missed a chance to do something cool with their ad for their 2008 Rogue.

I liked that Nissan sponsored most of the show. But, while it was great to watch more "Heroes" with fewer commercials they weren't worth watching. They had a neat setup up but then when that commercial was done, it started over! Even though they were slightly different, they weren’t different enough. I felt like I was doing a double take.

They could have used that cool city they built to tell all these different stories but they didn't, I think I even got mad. I felt ripped off in a way...

So they blew it. Missed opportunities like that make me think the creative people who make this stuff up aren't that creative or they hit many road blocks pitching the idea to people who didn’t want to take a chance.

Very insightful. It'd be kind of cool if commercials had storylines that would develop over the course of a show, and maybe even longer storylines that developed over the course of a TV season. That might keep people interested and talking about it.
