I believe it’s not “wood/paper cut/splinter” that’s the issue for the undead, it’s the “stake through the heart” that’s the sticking point (oh-so-bad pun intended). But it raises an interesting POINT (lol) - WHY does it end their existence? From the practical point, does a vampire’s heart even function? When they’re drinking blood, it would seem to have to go into the stomach, not the heart/circulatory system. Sean, enlighten us! Help us get to the heart of the matter! (lol)
